little man turned ONE!
we celebrated with lovely party hats :)
super easy and super fun
the keiki can make their own, too!
you need:
letter-size cardstock
scissors
glue
yarn/string [2 pieces at ~12 in. long per hat]
pen & ink
watercolors
cut semi-circles out of letter-size cardstock...
straight edge = 11 in.
radius = 5 1/2 in.
i recommend using a protractor to draw the circle
...i was lazy and used my hand as a protractor which gave me lopsided circles.
meh. ;) added charm in my book.
design away!
i used india ink & pen and watercolors
i love the look of the two together.
you can control the opacity and brush/pen strokes are charming.

once dried, roll into a cone (with the point in the middle) and glue.
glue your yarn in place to tie...
and you're done!
dextie was the only who actually wanted to wear his.
lily's was off in 4 seconds flat...
and even baby only wore his when he was distracted by cake.
oh well.
So adorable! I love a good party hat!
